S1, Ep 6: The Beast. A man travels down by train to his home village after 17 years away living in the city. He has been contacted by his cousin Jenny, his only surviving relative about something most urgent, but will not explain what exactly. But as he travels down his mind goes back to when he was a teenager living there and his own unnerving encounter with something strange in the woods... Starring David Gilpin, Maggie Green, Steve Tomlin, Brian Jennings, Milton Reid and Jamie Barron, who is the son of Keith Barron. Unusually it is not Keith who narrates this story but Jack Watson, but this is easily the best tale of the series. It maintains interest straight from the off as the unnamed man travels down on the train and recalls the memory that haunted him, before then visiting his cousin, who has her own strange encounter to tell him. Of the ones I've seen of this series so far, this is probably my favourite of the bunch.
