💥𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙘 * 𝙒𝙖𝙧 * 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 * 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 * 𝙈𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙨💥  A RAF squadron is assigned to knock out a German rocket fuel factory in Norway. The factory supplies fuel for the Nazi effort to launch rockets on England during D-Day.   633 Squadron of the RAF is tasked with an operation vital to the upcoming Allied invasion of France; they must destroy a German factory deep in a Norwegian fjord that's producing fuel for German rockets. It's an incredibly dangerous mission due to the location. Getting to the fuel factory to drop bombs on it will require daring and precise flying into a fjord that's riddled with anti-aircraft batteries. Norwegian Resistance units are tasked with taking out the AA guns, but if they are unable to destroy the gun emplacements, the bombing plan will be a suicide mission. Movie Trivia Cliff Robertson, an accomplished pilot, wanted to buy one of the Mosquitoes after filming had finished, as he was so impressed with the type. He was not permitted to do this but he later bought a Spitfire Mk IX which he owned until the late 1990s. Most of the attack on the Fjord at the end of the film was done with 1/48-scale Mosquito models. One of the Mosquitoes seen in the film (number TA639) is on show in the permanent collection of World War II aircraft at the RAF Museum at Cosford in Shropshire, UK.
