𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙮 * 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 * 𝙒𝙖𝙧 * 𝙈𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙚💥💥𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙫𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣, 𝘿𝙖𝙣 𝘼𝙮𝙠𝙧𝙤𝙮𝙙 & 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡 𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙢𝙖𝙣💥💥 Sgt. Bilko is a well liked conman in charge of the army base's motor pool, developing a hover tank and unofficially of gambling etc. One man hates Bilko and he's coming to inspect the base for possible closure.   Sgt. Bilko is in charge of the Motor Pool at an Army base. He's also a good natured con man, providing gambling facilities for the soldiers on base. When an old enemy from his past shows up to inspect his records and steal away his fiancee, Sgt. Bilko has to put his skills to creative use. Movie Trivia Pamela Adlon plays 'Rocky' Barbella and John Ortiz plays Luis Clemente. In real life, Adlon has a daughter named Rocky and Ortiz has a son named Clemente. It was only while working together on Rake (2014) that they realized they had given their children the same names as their characters in Sgt. Bilko. If you listen closely to the vehicles on base, they either have a hard time starting or continue to sputter after stopped. A great subtle gag throughout the film. Cathy Silvers, who plays Lt. Monday, is the daughter of Phil Silvers, who was the original Sgt. Bilko on TV. The big gold stripes on Bilko's black dress uniform (worn during the wedding day scenes) are services stripes. Each one equals 3 years of service, he has 9 on each arm, so this indicates he's been in the U.S. Army for at least 27 years.
