Unfortunately, we the shots can be heard today. And the children are the witnesses of another terrible page written by blood of our fathers, brothers, grandfathers in the history of our native country. I personally hope that I will be supported by all the participants and I will express the opinion of everyone who seeks peace, despite of the age, nationality and religion. I appeal to all the heads of states. Dear Presidents! I did not pay attention to what was happening on the planet. All events, disasters, wars were far away, in far away countries. I lived in my own comfortable and peaceful world of my family, friends and acquaintances. Thank God, I have avoided troubles. There are no natural disasters (Surprisingly, Ukraine has an excellent geographical position), no wars (we are pretty quiet nation), all countries are linked by peaceful agreements. And it turned out these agreements were just simple sheets of paper that had no power. How many people have already died? Hundreds? Thousands? And this is just the military. How many civilians were killed? All these people are the same as we are, they are just like the Germans, Poles, French, Russians ... the same people as the presidents are. Do you have a dream? And do you have plans for life? The most important thing is that you can make your dream come true. You will get back home, hug your mother, smile at your friend’s joke, turn your face to the hot sunlight and enjoy sun beams. In the evening you will drink coffee sitting at the table with your family. You can do it, and those who have been killed never will. They will not be able to plant a garden, discover a new alternative energy, build a house, or just fall in love. And it’s nice to have someone who can commemorate them, who can cry over their graves, if that grave exists. And what if they have not created a family, have not left a trace on the earth? What will we have afterwards? Only figures of total statistics? One of the thousands, one of many, of those who loved our land, who believed in peace, who died defending his or her house, paid a high price for peace and the future of our motherland. But we could avoid all the deaths if some politicians and terrorists did not sell human honor and conscience for the colored banknotes. The worst thing is we could have prevented the killings, we can stop the new ones, it is in our power, we can save people from a bullet or a missile, just not allow such things, it's not a disease, not Ebola, not AIDS, not cancer when there is no cure. Please, I beg you, do not let new deaths occur, punish the guilty, because people have elected you to rule the states fairly and honestly. Please give us the childhood back, even seven year-old kids act as the separatists and soldiers instead of playing tag . I want you to remember yourself in the childhood. Have you ever been upset for a father who has gone to war? Have you consoled a friend whose older brother has been killed? Have you postponed pocket money for soldiers’ body armor ? Or probably when you were young you supported a refugee woman who took her kids and documents and fled to relatives, leaving the house, a husband and a mother who prayed for them every day waiting for a call from the precious family? I beg you to return us the faith in truth, the belief that human life is more valuable than money and someone's ambitious plans. The children of our town, our district and our country want peace!
