AJ and Punk were in a happy loving relationship until Eve and Cena stuck their noses where they didn't belong. It started with Eve lying about seeing AJ getting cozy with Cena (Because she wanted Punk for herself and Cena wanted AJ), and taunting him with the question "Who knows how long it's gone on under your nose... who knows what else they've done." Long story short AJ doesn't take well to being accused of being unfaithful and she loses control and slaps Punk, breaking it off with him. AJ starts using Cena to make Punk jealous and it works, he doesn't understand why she'd act that way twords him. Eve eventually admits to AJ what she did and why she did it. Neither Punk nor AJ can forget the painful, yet alluring memories they've shared. AJ can't help it, she wants Punk back, she doesn't care how long it would take to get them back to the way they were, but now Heyman is in Punk's ear telling him that AJ is a distraction that he doesn't need, but Punk can't help the way he feels for her, he finally calls her. AJ Turns on Cena in his match against Punk for the WWE title in hopes of showing him how much he means to her, but in the end Heyman wins over despite the heartache Punk feels inside at pushing AJ away.
