An immediate smoke gank found first blood for Ukraine XBOCT on Canada TC's Razor with the help of Germany KuroKy's support Wraith King, Estonia Puppey's Bane, and Ukraine Funn1k's Slardar. Ukraine Na`Vi transitioned into some unique rotations on the map, farming the enemy jungle with their aggressive trilane, continuing their trademark hyper-aggressive playstyle, and waiting for their moment to strike. United States Team Liquid seemed to be winning both top and bottom lane until the first night hit. Ukraine Dendi's Night Stalker charged into the bottom lane, finding another kill on Canada TC. Rotating top, however, Germany qojqva proved to be a much harder target. Aphotic Shield and some masterful juking kept him alive until help could arrive, getting United States Team Liquid a return kill on Ukraine Dendi. In response to the pickoffs, United States Team Liquid opted to group up to take several outer towers. Aphotic Shield allowed United States Team Liquid control in the team fights, leading Ukraine Na`Vi to select different goals. At 10 minutes, Ukraine Na`Vi easily took Roshan, though the following team fight ended in United States Team Liquid's favor. Superior positioning by Ukraine Na`Vi found them a pickoff on United States BuLba's Viper, starting a fight that spiraled out of control (quite literally, with Ukraine Dendi's Eul's Scepter) and ended with four down on United States Team Liquid and all of Ukraine Na`Vi still alive. At 18 minutes, the time that marked the end of the last game, towers were even, and Ukraine Na`Vi led kills 16-7. With Ukraine Dendi's pickup of a Desolator, Ukraine Na`Vi took the second uncontested Roshan of the game and set out to end the game. At 22 minutes, Ukraine Dendi found a rampage on United States Team Liquid (a worthy part of the VOD to watch, simply for the funny noises United States SUNSfan makes), and United States Team Liquid called 'GG'. While they held their own through the early game with the constant help of Aphotic Shield, Ukraine Na`Vi outlasted them, ending another series in the XMG Captains Draft Invitational in two games.
