The 7th Taggart mystery gets off to a spectacular start when a man walks in to a church to confess to his Catholic priest of a murder he has committed. The victim is his wife - however, she isn't dead yet! Meanwhile Taggart and his new assistant DS Jardine are called to a disused railway tunnel where a charred body has been found.The deceased is believed to be that of amateur photographer Douglas Abernathy, who they discover had a dark past. They also discover that he was working as a private investigator and had been hired to locate a missing schoolgirl, who has gone missing from a commune. How are these three cases linked, if at all? When there is another murder and they discover who the fingerprints on the weapon belong to it becomes a lot more complicated for Taggart... Please also note that while I've been able to upload the first 7 Taggart mysteries, I only have a select few from the McManus years and after this one they are limited in what I have. So for example I do not have Cold Blood (which followed this one to end Series 3), but I do have Dead Giveaway from series 4, which I will upload next week.
