A great story about the morals of the fraternities functioning inside Universities and Colleges, being focused on the competitive relationships between men and women when involved in the problems of education or matters concerning the resistance against authority and the devotion to Ethics.
The film was based on a story discovered by the American writer and producer Herbert H. Magolis (Herb Margolis): it was inspired by a real life incident in February 1948, when 4 pledges of the Β-Θ-Π fraternity at UCLA were ordered to kill a dog as part of their hazing. After his pledge brothers bludgeoned to death a puppy, John G. Hallock -a former Air Force sergeant, at the age of 24- resigned from the fraternity and reported the incident to the city attorney's office. The fraternity denied the incident and said the puppy was intended as a mascot but had run away. See, here: (
