Тунис. Карфаген. Серия 15. Карфаген это древний город, который был столицей государства Карфаген. Карфаген основали финикийцы более двух тысяч лет назад. Это была империя, которая 600 лет держала в руках всё Средиземноморье. После Пунических войн Карфаген был взят и разрушен римлянами, но затем отстроен и являлся важнейшим городом Римской империи в провинции Африка. Затем захвачен вандаламии и был столицей Вандальского королевства. Но после арабского завоевания вновь пришёл в упадок. В наше время сохранилось немного, мы побывали в термах (банях) Антония, прикоснулись к кусочку истории. Кстати, ни один таксист в Тунисе вас не поймет, если вы попросите отвезти Вас в Карфаген. Потому что на английском, арабском и французском, а также на карте Туниса, Карфаген произносится и пишется как Картедж (франц. Carthage).
