The band has always done things on their own terms, refusing to compromise or water down their musical approach. After recording their first 5 track EP themselves and releasing it online as a free download, the bands main focus has been to get out and represent their music live. With no outside management or active booking agent the band has still managed to share the stage with such acts as Parkway Drive, Bury Your Dead, Sense Fail, I The Breather, The Plot In You, Antagonist A.D. and Buried in Verona. LFW has also played a number of shows on many different bills including headlining slots in VIC, SA and NSW. Late 2012 saw Left For Wolves release a 7 track CD "Drown". Once again much of the work was completed by the band themselves, after having the drums recorded by Joel Taylor at 3phase studios. The tracks were sent to Zorran Mendonsa (Antagonist A.D., Saving Grace) to be re-amped and mixed before Joey Sturgis (For The Fallen dreams, Emmure, The Devil Wears Prada) finished off the project with mastering. The EP was also accompanied by Left For Wolves first music video for the song "The Flood". In contrast to many bands that currently fall under the "Metalcore" genre, Left For Wolves do actually incorporate musical elements of hardcore punk, upon a modern heavy metal foundation. This gives each song a different flavor and intertwines the two different elements during a single song. As heavy and abrasive as the music and vocals can be, one thing the band manages to do is make the songs catchy. The reoccurring use of gang vocals helps the band to achieve this and is a point of difference with most bands of this style. January 2014 will see the release of the new track and LFW's recently filmed forth music video, "Real Life". This will then be followed by the EP of the same name and an Australian tour. The goal for Left For Wolves is and always will be, to be seen and heard by as many people as possible. LFW have a common passion and commitment to push the band as far as they can. Moving forward with no intention to stop any time soon and willing to put in the hard work to ensure success. Left For Wolves has just begun.
