"Silent Night", one of the most beloved Christmas carols of all time, is the story of that solemn night in Bethlehem where the Christ child was born. This Jesus who would be the Savior of all people, would bring hope, peace, and everlasting life.
As I began searching for the Christmas carol I wanted to share, it became clear that "Silent Night" was that song. Then, as I went through the process of envisioning the storyline for this video, the only thing that came strongly to me was that I needed a real 'baby Jesus' to help me tell the story. I could see it more clearly than anything. I am so grateful for that powerful vision, for the sweet baby Treycen who made it happen, and especially for the real baby Jesus whose birth we celebrate, and truly made life worth living! I pray this song will brighten your Christmas and help us all remember the reason for this beautiful season! May your Christmas be filled with happiness, joy and everlasting peace!
"Silent Night" was scripted by Joseph Mohr and composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. Sally DeFord penned this beautiful arrangement. The vocals are by the amazing Stacie Wiese and the incredible Sarah Spangler performs the accompaniment on the piano. This video was filmed and edited by the outstanding Mark Jones. I want to thank all those who were otherwise involved in making this happen: baby Treycen as baby Jesus, and his family, my supportive husband and sweet children for taking part in the nativity, my mom and dad for letting us film in their beautiful home, and Penny Jones who helped develop the rest of the storyline. What a magical moment, what a magical song, what an absolutely magical birth of that Christ child, whom we celebrate! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Sincerely,
Susan
