A 2004 German TV film directed by Ulrich Edel, wriiten by the American science-fiction writer Diane Duane, her Irish husband and fantasy screenwriter Peter Morwood (& Ulrich Edel).
The film is based on the Norse mythology epic Völsungasaga and the German poem Nibelungenlied, which draws material from the epic story of Eric (Siegfried or Sigurd) the blacksmith and his queen, Brunhild.
