Part 5 of 8 of the 1980 period drama. It's 1936 now and Polly's actions have seen her cut off from Lady Montdore. But when Davey Warbeck goes to visit her in Italy it seems her marriage is already in difficulty. Another whose marriage is in trouble is Linda, who falls head over heels for communist Christian Talbot, and dismays her family yet again with what she does next. She is not the only one to shock the family with a couple of departures, but an arrival in the family in the shape of heir apparent Cedric Hampton does at least please Lady Montdore with his eccentric demeanour. But can he be trusted?
