Based on the story A HORSE FOR MRS CUSTER (1954) wriiten on the literary magazine "New World Writing'' by the novelist Glendon Fred Swarthout. The story was then adapted for the wide screen by Peter Packer, produced by Harry Joe Brown & Randolph Scott and finally directed by Joseph H. Lewis.
