Everybody Does It 1949. Linda Darnell, Paul Douglas, Celeste Holm, Charles Coburn, Lucile Watson Businessman Leonard Borland (Paul Douglas) is watching his business fall apart. Meanwhile, his wealthy wife Doris (Celeste Holm), aspires to be an opera singer. Although he tries to be supportive, even going so far as arranging for her to sing in concert, Leonard knows that his wife has no talent. He continues to support his wife, but after meeting Cecil Carver (Linda Darnell), an opera singer herself, Leonard discovers that he is the one with the good voice.
