Fakaalofa lahi atu! Welcome to Niue!
Where in the world is that, I might hear you ask? Well, until last year, I’d never even heard of this place.Niue (pronounced New-Aye) is a teeny, tiny little island in the centre of a triangle of Polynesian islands (Tonga, Samoa and the Cook Islands) and only around a 3 hour flight from Auckland, New Zealand.
The island getaway that you dream of, where you're able to completely escape from life for a short while and go 'off grid' is made a reality in Niue. We felt so away from it all, and so welcome by the warm and friendly locals. Snorkelling in coves that you have entirely to yourself, exploring secluded stretches of beach and driving along rough and empty roads...it was so utterly refreshing!
Fakaue lahi (thank you) Niue! I'll be seeing you...
