A British airman during World War Two bails out of a burning aircraft, but somehow miraculously survives the fall. During the time before he jumped he converses with an American radio operator and later finds her and they fall in love. However, a mistake was made in Heaven - he was meant to of died, and when they seek to claim him he faces a fight in a celestrial court for his very life!
