HIGHLANDER: An Eye For An Eye -- Headstrong Song: Headstrong by Trapt Well, I needed something to cut my teeth on, and I thought that this'd be the perfect project for that. I will assume that anyone watching this has, at the very least, a general idea of the episode's plot and all, but in case you don't... Newly immortal Richie Ryan helps to thwart an assassination attempt, led by immortal Annie Devlin. In so doing, Annie's lover, Tommy is killed by her own accidental gunfire. After Annie swears vengeance, Duncan MacLeod kicks Richie's training into high gear. Mac's incessant preparations however, bring frustration and grief to the fore, for the both of them over Tessa Noel's recent death. Mac wishes for Richie to flee, to leave town until Annie can be talked down, but Richie refuses, challenging the older immortal. After a brutal fight, Richie wins but spares Annie's life, ending the cycle of pointless death. And, if you watch till the end of the credits, Mac bestows upon his pupil a magnificent golden Spanish rapier, signifying his readiness to play the Game. I had intended this to be a much different video than what it turned out to be, but for what it is, it's good. I wanted there to be more of the Annie/MacLeod relationship, but I just couldn't fit that in. Plus, I was originally going to start the video at what is now 1:35, but I thought that the end scene in which Richie spares Annie's life didn't make a whole lot of sense without the killing of Tommy scene. Shrug. Then of course, the timing got off. I think I fixed it. May be still a millisecond off, but it's close enough for me. Comments, suggestions and constructive criticisms are always welcome!
