In this video, we're gonna get together and learn how to paint a waterfall at night under the light of the moon. This is a good lesson for beginners on up! Also, we're going to figure out how to paint wet on wet oil painting techniques with acrylic paint. It's like magic! Make sure you have your slow dry blending medium (or retarder/extender). It's absolutely necessary for this technique!
I’m painting on a 16x20-inch stretched canvas, but you can paint on any type and size of canvas you like.
I used:
• A 2-inch flat brush
• A 3-inch flat brush
• A 3/4-inch flat brush
• A puffy, soft round brush for scrubbing (about 1/4-inch)
• A small round brush for signing
• Liquitex Slow Dry Blending Medium
• A small spray bottle with a very fine mist
I’m using Liquitex Basics acrylic paint in the following colors:
• Mars Black
• Titanium White
• Phthalocyanine Blue
• Burnt Umber
But you can use any colors you like.
