Lincoln Ladies are through to Semi-Finals of the Continental Cup thanks to a goalkeeping masterclass from Karen Bardsley.
With Birmingham needing to win to progress they threw everything at the Lincoln defence but Bardsley thwarted the hosts time after time to safeguard her own side's place in the last four.
The pick of the saves was a spectacular leap to her left to push away Chelsea Weston's free kick, which was heading for the top corner with just two minutes to go.
Bardsley's captain for club and country, Casey Stoney, said: "She's England's number one for a reason.
"When were under pressure we need the big players, and I think she stood out at the end. That save just epitomises her, she hates conceding goals."
Birmingham got off to the perfect start, taking the lead in only the third minute.
Rachel Williams played a clever one-two with Jo Potter before steering the ball past Bardsley from the edge of the box.
But Lincoln drew level in the 38th minute after Hannah George brought down Remi Allen for a penalty.
Birmingham goalkeeper Mary Earps superbly saved Allen's spot kick, diving low to her left, but Carla Cantrell was on hand to rifle home the rebound.
David Parker's side certainly had their chances to win it. Isobel Christiansen had the ball in the net, only for it to be ruled out for a foul by Williams.
And late in the game substitute Kirsty Linnett looked certain to score from a yard out after Williams' shot was saved, but she was denied by a superb last-ditch tackle from Emily Roberts.
Stoney was pleased with the way the team reacted to going behind.
"We showed great resolve today and that's a key point for me.
"In the past when we've gone behind we haven't shown the same character, going one down so early, heads could have dropped.
"But we played some good football today, we've got a very young side but results like this will just give us more confidence."
Birmingham manager David Parker was again left disappointed by a Lincoln side that showed they wanted it more, much like the league encounter here last month that also ended in a draw.
He said: "We just haven't matched their desire again and it's disappointing to say the least. They out fought us, out battled us, and I don't like that one bit."
