Using musical styles as an "outfit" for creation of his music ideas he made several unique "collections" which have found their fans not only in former CIS countries, but also in Europe and United States. When he first showed up in 2008, DJ's from Ukrainian radio stations called him "Ukrainian Jamiroquai". Today his compositions are wonderful combination of modern dance music and the broad of pop-rock culture heritage of the last decades from Air, Coldplay and Keane to The XX and Empire of the Sun. Within two years The Maneken traveled half of the world. His concert geography goes from Yuzhno-Sakhalins'k in Russia to Washington DC, Los Angeles, Miami and Puerto Rico. He played on numerous significant events -- he was the only Ukrainian artist playing at the Moscow Millionaire Fair 2009, gig at the main stage of Sochi Music Winter Conference 2010, electronic music festival Pure Future in Trakai, Lithuania, Odessa International Film Festival, Kazantip Festival and many others. Turning point of The Maneken's career was meeting German songwriter and movie director Charley Stadler, known for his "Dead Fish" movie with Gary Oldman playing the main character. Acquaintance grew into a friendship and long-term cooperation. As a result Charley wrote most of the lyrics for The Maneken's second album "Soulmate Sublime". Album was released in April 2011 and presented in Kyiv, Moscow and Los Angeles, on May 2 during his promo gig at MUSEXPO-2011 -- one of the main musical forums in the world. The name of the new song is Safe Connection - the same as the project run by Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation devoted to the theme of HIV/AIDS and safe sex, supported by The Coca-Cola Foundation. ---------------------- Un'atmosfera suggestiva, quasi da sogno. Un genere che si può definire modern dance ma che riprende tutta l'eredità pop-rock del passato. Questi sono i Maneken, band che non è più possibile definire emergente anche se di fatto hanno appena iniziato la loro carriera come artisti. Grazie a "Safe Connection", la band ucraina si è fatta conoscere in giro per il mondo. Forse perché questa traccia si è inserita a sostegno della campagna per la lotta all'HIV, proprio Elena Pinchuk ha desiderato Safe Connection come brano che rappresenta la propria Fondazione devota al tema dell'HIV/AIDS, forse per il supporto della Coca-Cola Foundation sempre per la stessa causa. Noi crediamo invece che questa band si è fatta conoscere per il suo talento. Si apprezza subito il sound electro rock, si accosta il risultato a superstar internazionali quali Jamiroquai, a cui i Maneken hanno aperto più di un live!!!
