Distraught Kesha breaks down in tears after judge rules the singer must continue working at Sony where the producer she alleges drugged and raped her is employed.
The singer Kesha broke down in tears on Friday morning after a State Supreme Court in New York City refused to release her from a Sony contract, which means she must continue to work for the same company as her alleged rapist, the producer Dr Luke.
The judge, Supreme Court Justice Shirley Kornreich, told Kesha that Sony would suffer 'irreparable harm' if she did not abide by her contract to make six more albums with them.
According to TMZ, the judge said she could always work with another producer at the label.
However, Kesha alleges that Sony will not promote her music if she refuses to work with Dr Luke.
The star, 28, has never filed criminal charges against the producer, 42.
She broke down in court after hearing the judge's ruling.
Speaking about her fans, she added: 'They're my everything and I couldn't have gotten through this without them, honestly.
'They've been my rock through the last two years of my life and I'm, like, so grateful. It's insane, more than anything else in my life they've been, like, the most amazing.'
The hitmaker is seeking to void her Sony contract, and alleged sexual assault, sexual harassment and emotional abuse by Dr. Luke, real name Lukasz Gottwald, over the course of their professional relationship.
The producer, who has also worked with the likes of Shakira, Pink, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus, denies all her allegations.
The Nashville native, whose full name is Kesha Rose Sebert, also spoke out about her case in a post she made on Instagram on Thursday, saying: 'I have nothing left to hide. I did this because the truth was eating away my soul and killing me from the inside.
'This is not just for me. this is for every woman, every human who has ever been abused. sexually. emotionally. mentally.
'I had to tell the truth. so the outcome will be what it will be. there's nothing left I can do. it's just so scary to have zero control in your fate. but this is my path this life for whatever reason.'
Dr Luke was recently attacked online by a Kesha fan site, who claimed he had made Kelly Clarkson cry when they recorded Since U Been Gone together.
However the singer tweeted out in his defence, saying: 'I don't know where this info came from but yeah this never happened ha! Why people just make sh*t up is amazing 2 me.'
