The 30th video in my series Bryan Ferry's "A Fool For Love" from his 2002 album Frantic. When I think of Bryan Ferry I think of, of course Roxy Music's sleek art rock of the 70's and early 870's, but I also think of smoked filled rooms and the crooner extraordinaire. This guy's solo work comes very close to matching the sophisticated, sleek, art rock that Roxy Music released during the 70's and 80's. Choosing one of his tunes to cover was as difficult as choosing one to do by Roxy Music.....it's simply not an easy task to choose from so much excellent work. I chose "A Fool To Love" because it's always been, IMO, one of his most underrated tunes....and he has many underrated ones. All Bryan Ferry's albums are excellent and loaded with numerous standout tracks, but you gotta choose! Actually I have numerous videos that are far advanced in production ahead of this Bryan Ferry track. I definitely planned on doing a Bryan Ferry track, but hadn't begun the effort yet. However, during work on my last finished video, U.F.O.'s "Love To Love", it became apparent that there were a few images that I strongly imagined working to other songs, and almost pulled them from the U.F.O. video to keep them fresh (this is a frequent occurance of my video production.....working full steam ahead on a song and then finding that certain images that you had always imagined and desired for a video are finding their way into the video....but it's the wrong video)....but since I was already struggling with images for the "Love To Love" video, I left them intact. However, I determined to immediately begin production for the song for which the images were seeming to call for, and there were several, but Bryan Ferry's "A Fool For Love" eventually won out and became my next video. So, the the rose and trees elements may be familiar if you've checked out my previous video, but I hope you enjoy it anyway. Thanks!
