He was born in March 7, 1980 in Karadeniz Eregli town, province of Zonguldak in Black Sea region. After his completing primary and secondary education there he attended a fine art oriented high school in Istanbul in 1995-1996. At that time he pursued his musical career at various music halls as a vocalist. In 1998 he became the first runner up as the male vocalist in a contest for high school students organized by Milliyet. (A Turkish national newspaper) In 1999 he graduated Bilgi University Jazz vocalist department. He is continuing his education at Istanbul Technical University Turkish Classical Music conservatory since 2003. He loves singing, sports, swimming and animals.
