At first, when my friend downloaded this for me , I believed it to be some early King Diamond track. I later came to find that it is actually a track from the Sleepy Hollow Band. I was intrigued by the song, the video and the lyrics so I decided to contact the band via the sleepyhollowband.com web site. I was involved in an email conversation with one of the members. I can to find out ALOT about the band and this particular song! First off, this was the very first track the band had ever written. The intro was first written by the keyboardist for a black magician friend of his. It was written on an old organ that was obtained from a satanic church. The black magician would recite incantations while Joe Dell played the opening intro repeatedly. Joe kept this in his head and used it for this song. The chrus section is an actual ritual rite performed on wind intruments in the Dark Ages to call upon spiritis. The lyrics were written by a woman the band called the Queen Wizard! I was informed that the house itself was built on top of an old abandonded grave yard in Lodi, whicch is the town the famous satanic singer Danzig is from. When the band eventually recorded the song, it was in Twain recording studios owned by Bob Both, the famous James Brown engineer, who worked on James' album titled Hell. The voices in the beginning were laid down, but, there is a voice in there that was never recorded by the band. The band would experience a strange presence in the legendary Pink Room during the song's rehearsal. Some believe playing this song releases spirits or demonic forces. I was also informed that there is a backwards message in the song Come with Me Melina that says, "That Soul Guy" which the band believes was conjured by the spirit of James Brown. The song itself is about an apparition who convinces a married woman to kill herself to join him in romance in the netherworld. In my conversations with the band member, I have also come to find out that the song itself Sleepy Hollow was written on Halloween night in 1999 in the dark to candle light. Those who know about the occult, know that the Halloween night at the turn of the century is when the spirits are at their strongest. I was also informed that there was something they would call the curse of Sleepy Hollow. Each member fell into a dark spell so to say. The Bassist became a schitzso, The drummer a sexual pervert, the Keyboardist drugs and alcohol and the guitarist pagan rituals.
