I always prefered the album version/original 12" of this great song, (which I just learned was remixed by the late great Jim Burgess, who remixed for many artists - google him, wiki him, or find him at discodisco's site!) rather than the 45 radio single, which had more emphasis on the tom toms (oom-chunk-a) than the clean 4-on-the-floor, or the Priscilla remix, which I thought put too much emphasis on the new percussion track overdub while stripping out some of the midrange stuff...
But, again, the final chorus faded out too quickly for my tastes - so I've simply added a few repeats of the final phrase to round it out more.
Alicia's debut album was... unique. Nightlife was the only disco song - the rest was rock, adult contemporary and even new wave - I really liked Body Heat, Self Applause and High Places...
I never heard anything off her second album, which was never released to my knowledge in Canada - the first time I saw it was on a trip to Buffalo...
