This B&M floorless coaster was renamed from Batman - The Dark Knight to Batman: The Ride for the 2008 season due to the proposed new The Dark Knight coaster that was supposed to be built here as well as Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey & Six Flags Great America in Illinois. When the park had to scrap their plans for the new coaster, this one was given its original name back the following season.
