The 12-year-old boy who last night stormed into the semi-final of Britains Got Talent has revealed he almost didnt take part in the show. The singer from Swansea was banned from auditioning for last years show at the age of ten by his mother Karen. But she relented for this series after he had shown his maturity by starring as a young Michael Jackson in the stage musical Thriller Live. He had needed a second chance after Simon Cowell stopped him halfway through his performance of Amy Winehouses Valerie. Cowell told him: You got this really wrong. What do you sing apart from that? After he sang the Michael Jackson song, Cowell told him: This is how one song could change your life. This may be the start of something special for you, young man.
