Footage shows the vehicles from both forces driving in opposite directions. The SAA and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) struck a deal on Sunday to deploy forces in the area, against the ongoing Turkish military operation. On October 9, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the beginning of a military operation in north-eastern Syria dubbed 'Operation Peace Spring'. Ankara says the aim of the Turkish offensive is to create a 'safe zone' cleared of Kurdish groups.
