At the tender young age of just eight years old, Kylie was introduced to Jeff Scott Soto by her dad /producer who was a lifelong fan. By 9 Kylie had already recorded a vocal cover tribute video of "Learn To Live Again" by W.E.T. (Featuring Soto.) After discovering Kylie's video through social media Jeff was so impressed and moved by her tribute that he shared it with his massive online following. This started a nice friendship via Facebook messenger. A little over a year later, shortly after releasing a second cover video featuring Soto, Jeff and Kylie's dad conspired to create the ultimate 11th birthday surprise for Kylie. Jeff recorded himself in Seattle, while on tour with The Trans-Siberian Orchestra, sending birthday wishes along with the news that he was giving Kylie and her parents V.I.P tickets to an upcoming TSO concert in Jacksonville FL, just two weeks after she would turn 11. This would be the first time the two would meet in person and served to solidify their friendship even more. The following Spring, after a third JSS tribute cover video for "Watch The Fire" (W.E.T,) Kylie's dad decided to share (with Jeff) a new project he was producing in the outside chance he might consider lending his voice to the track as a duet with Kylie. As impossible as it seemed, Jeff loved the track so much he agreed. "I've always loved that song! Send me the track...I'M IN!" was his surprising reply.
Over a year later, with many production revisions by her dad, the song is finally finished and sure to please all JSS fans as it is exactly the type of song he is known best for and his vocal performance is nothing short of incredible! The song was originally released by Robert Tepper in 1986 and was also featured in the movie Rocky IV. It reached
#144 on the Billboard Top 200.
