This music video, directed and edited by Arthur Ellis, features Ronnie James Dio as barbarian warrior adventuring through a desolate church. He strikes a shrouded figure and his hobgoblin friend with his sword, but instead of killing them he turns them into rats... Hero later visits a blacksmith forging a sword. He throws his sword in the trash and deftly catches the newly forged one. 
Music & Lyrics by Ronnie James Dio, who introduced the fantasy and fairy tale themes to Heavy Metal music. "Holy Diver" was his first record with then new band DIO after quitting Black Sabbath, being replaced by Ian Gillan. }:]
