From Elton John's 1992 album "The One." It was also released as a single. Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics specifically as a duet for Elton with Eric Clapton. He commented, "A lot of it has to do with the pain of losing. That sort of ties in with both Elton and Eric… There's a redemptional quality about it… They've both been through the mill and come back stronger than ever." In writing the track Elton got help from Olle Romo, the drum programmer for The One sessions. Produced by Don Was. It also appeared on the soundtrack album of Lethal Weapon 3. Elton and Clapton toured together in the summer of 1992, performing this song together, and each performing their own sets on an equal billing. The Guardian's review of their Wembley concert had the headline: "Pop Kings Who Lost Their Fizz."
