Also, slant cutting, (salami cuts) and deep notch face cutting, especially of big wood, are dangerous and can be fatal without a thorough understanding of the dynamics and details of how, when and why to employ them. Additionally, there are other ways to get these jobs done that are less frowned upon by certain rule writers.
