Interpretation of R. J. Dumbrill's transcription of "Hurrian Hymn No.6"
The cuneiform tablets on which this hymn was written date from approximately 1200-50 B.C.E. (though some scholars now date them as early as 1400 B.C.E.). This hymn is one of thirty. There have been at least five attempts to transcribe this hymn. When choosing which version I was to use in this interpretation I decided based on musical appeal rather than the likelihood of correctness.
