This marks the second year that Assyrians celebrated Christmas away from their homes in Mosul and the Nineveh Plain. The Islamic State attacks in northern Iraq displaced hundreds of thousands of Assyrians, many of those people who now reside Erbil and Nuhadra. With the partnership of the Assyrian Aid Society of America, its sister organization the Assyrian Aid Society - Iraq, AAS of Canada, and the Assyrian Evangelical Church of San Jose, the Christmas gift distributions continue in Erbil and Sapna. It has been a great end to 2015 with the distribution of over 10,000 gifts to internally displaced children in north Iraq.
