Hollow Knight Silksong Free Download is the long-awaited sequel to Hollow Knight (2017). It is developed and published by Team Cherry. The game launches on 4 September 2025 across multiple platforms: Windows PC, macOS, Linux, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S.

In this sequel, you play as Hornet, formerly a supporting character, traversing a new kingdom called Pharloom. The story and setting retain the Metroidvania roots of the first Hollow Knight but introduce refined mechanics: faster combat, new abilities, tools, a quest system, and more.

Gameplay:

Silksong expands on the original by giving Hornet acrobatic moves, more fluid traversal, and new tools. Players report she feels more agile than the Knight in the first game.

There is a structured quest system (“Wishes”) divided into categories like Gather, Hunt, Wayfarer, and Grand Hunt, adding optional content beyond the main path.

Enemies: Silksong includes more than 200 new enemies and over 40 new bosses to fight.

Also new are things like Shell Shards and Rosaries (currencies), Tools that require repair, Crests that modify attacks and tool slots. These add build-crafting/depth to your playstyle.

Healing is faster; combat is sharper; platforming/traversal elements are more elaborate than in previous game.
