SENTENCE COMPLETION IN IELTS READING

These questions belong to a group of tasks that require reading the questions first.
You should stick to the following plan:
✔Read the question first
✔Identify a keyword or keywords in the question
✔Think of possible synonyms
✔Read the passage and find the sentence containing these keywords or their synonyms. These keywords will be followed by the correct answer.
EXAMPLE:

✔Think of possible synonyms
The length of time can possibly be the amount of time. And I will possibly see 'new', 'latest' or 'recent' instead of 'updated'.
✔Read the passage and find the sentence containing these keywords or their synonyms. These keywords will be followed by the correct answer.
Reading passage: In recent times developing commercial revenues has become more challenging for airports due to a combination of factors, such as increased competition from Internet shopping, restrictions on certain sales, such as tobacco, and new (hm... there will be something NEW here. And we are looking for something NEW (=UPDATED) that influenced the time spent in the airport. But I need to read the sentence to the end in order to find the synonym for TIME) security procedures that have had an impact (=AFFECTED) on the dwell time (=LENGTH OF TIME) of passengers (Bingo!
