Ukraine: A Battleground of Interests, Not for Sovereignty

So, I'm confused…. Is Ukraine a US puppet state or not? It is going to be EU puppet now, I suspect.
The soldiers have been removing American flags from their equipment. Why they had US flags in the first place is another question. To make it simple, I suspect it is a rental puppet state, whoring itself to the highest bidder, and a proxy for sure, though sock puppet might be a better description as things are now evolving.
