The meeting between President Hugo Chávez and President Aleksandr Lukashenko paved the way for the development of friendly relations between our peoples that have reached the point when they can be called inviolable. A number of joint projects have been implemented in various sectors of the economy, including manufacturing, agriculture, construction. A great many infrastructure facilities were built in Venezuela thanks to this cooperation,” he continued.
The two countries managed to forge friendly ties in a changing geopolitical environment, the minister emphasized. “At today’s meeting with the foreign minister of Belarus, we explored all aspects of possible cooperation in the political and economic fields. This also includes the exchange of legislative information that will stand our two countries in good stead,” he added. “So, I think we have a lot of work ahead. This pertains not only to the interparliamentary cooperation groups, but also work at all levels, which involves the exchange of information necessary for revision, update, and preparation of new documents. We have agreed to have a fresh look at all agreements between our states, we need to update them to fit the reality on the ground,” he added.
