“It’s amazing how quickly you can build a connection with someone you have only just met.

When we were planning ‘What If The Future Never Happened?’, I was so excited about what this film could be but the prospect of having someone play a ‘younger version of me’ was odd to say the least.
The team from Clockwork Films sent me a pic of this kid @rasmusking who many in the film industry had apparently said reminded people of a ‘young Daniel Johns’.
I watched an audition tape and I was blown away by his ability to channel my mid-90’s energy. On camera he was shy but a complete smart arse, utterly obsessed with his music but insecure about the world- he’d spent hours watching old videos of me in the early frogstomp era and watching him play me was incredibly surreal.
I can’t wait for people to see this Featurette, it tells more of my story than has ever been told and without Ras, I genuinely wouldn’t be half as excited.

As many of you know, I bought a traded in PRS guitar called the ‘green dragon’ from one of my heroes as a kid Page Hamilton from Helmet. I wanted Ras to have something he could keep forever as I have my PRS guitars.”
