TIME EXPRESSIONS

AROUND THE CORNER - close; going to happen very soon - скоро; не за горами; на подходе
Time goes by so fast. February is just around the corner.
go by - pass - проходить (о времени)
TO BE PRESSED FOR TIME - to have very little time or to be in a rush - располагать незначительным временем; очень торопиться
I was pressed for time on my way to work this morning so I couldn't stop and get a coffee.
A RACE AGAINST TIME/THE CLOCK - an attempt to do something very quickly because there is only a short time in which it can be done - гонки на время (попытка сделать что- л очень быстро, тк отпущено мало времени)
also: to race against time/ the clock - to do something as fast as possible and try to finish it before a certain time - сделать ч-л за очень коротокий срок
It's a race against time to get the building finished before the rainy season sets in.
If we want to be ready for this presentation by this afternoon, we are going to have to race against the clock. We only have 3 hours.
