The first ever Finnish ice hockey championships featured six teams.
The first ever champion was crowned in a tournament. Reipas from Vyborg beat KIF from Helsinki 5-1 in the final game. From the current Liiga teams IFK from Helsinki was the only one that played in the first Finnish ice hockey championships.
