Released at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre on February 1, 1929. Source: The 2023 Blu-ray release of the film. This is the first sound film and musical to ever win an Academy Award, as my recreation includes the full opening theme and the recreated color sequence of "The Wedding of the Painted Doll" scene in the film using Photoshop's Neural Filters and Sony Movie Studio Platinum to recreated the 2-strip Technicolor feel. © 1929 - 2024 by Warner Bros.
