Elephant is a 1989 British BBC television short drama film. It features Gary Walker, Bill Hamilton, Michael Foyle, and Danny Small.
The film is set in Northern Ireland during the Troubles. A compilation of eighteen murders on the streets of Belfast, without explanatory narrative or characterisation and shot in a cold, dispassionate documentary style, the film succinctly captures the horror of sectarian killing.
A film released on UK Blu-ray and DVD by the British Film Institute (BFI).
