Charles Vidor directs this classic film noir. Casino owner Ballin Mundson (Macready) orders his right-hand man, Johnny Farrell (Ford), to keep an eye on his beautiful new wife, Gilda (Hayworth). Ballin is unaware, however, that Johnny and Gilda are former lovers, but now consumed by hatred for each other.
