Adaptation of Harold Pinter's 1978 semi-autobiographical play. This critically acclaimed film follows significant moments in the seven-year extramarital affair of art gallery owner Emma with literary agent Jerry, the best friend of her husband Robert, a London publisher. (Pinter based the drama on his clandestine affair (1962-69) with television presenter Joan Bakewell.)
