The Mind Beyond - The Man with the Power (1976)

Ep 6: The Man With The Power. A black builder collapses one day while at work after seeing a vision about one of his colleagues. Realising he has psychic powers and premonition he is approached by the mysterious Mr Smythe for tests, but as his visions get ever stranger he finds it affects his relationship with both his wife and his colleagues. But what are the reasons for his visions? Starring Willie Jonah, Vikki Richards, Johnny Briggs, Geoffrey Bayldon, Geoffrey Butler, Peggy Aitchison, Cyril Cusack, Peter Spraggan, Edwin Browne, Raynor Bourton and Florilyn Waddell. This was the last of The Mind Beyond series, which was originally part of the BBC2 Playhouse anthology series in 1976. This is from an old tape, and picture quality is not great but the episodes themselves are rare. This is a strange episode that goes on a unusual tangent and ends up rather inconclusive. But it does include an appearance by Johnny Briggs, just a couple of months before his stint in Coronation Street, whose character is rather more complex in his reasons than originally seems.
