An ex-military accountant is recruited by the FBI to infiltrate the mob in Chicago in an attempt to break open the rackets. To complicate his job, two women stand in his way, each with their own agenda.
Chicago Syndicate has plenty of Chicago, in location shooting exploring a variety of interesting locations, and plenty of the Syndicate, following a likeable accountant dropping into the criminal world whilst scheming to escape with his evidence and life intact. Though it is small in scale, all characters and their storylines come together satisfyingly by the conclusion, and the central developing plan to collect incriminating information is entertaining, filled with close calls and plenty of hard-boiled dialogue.
