Part 2 of 8 of the historical drama. Many years have passed since Arthur discovered his true inheritance and after much fighting most of England now accept him as their new King. But one knight, Accolon, refuses to recognize him as monarch due to the deaths of his brothers at Arthur's hand and vows revenge. And he is not the only one who seeks to harm him, but Arthur knows little of this when he encounters his half sister Morgan le Fey in the woods for the first time, unaware of her true nature. Meanwhile Arthur becomes transfixed with Guinevere, the daughter of Leodograunce, but little realizes what he sets in motion when he sends Lancelot to fetch her to attend his court in view of potentially marrying her.
Starring Andrew Burt, Robert Eddison, David Robb, Felicity Dean, Maureen O'Brien (no, not that one), Godfrey James, Ivor Roberts, Anthony Dutton, Jon Croft and Peter Burroughs. Rarely repeated since it's broadcast in 1979, you have member Zack Smith to thank for this series, as he kindly gave me this to put in my album. The production values may not stand up to modern standards, but it was popular at the time due to the casting of Andrew Burt (aka the original Jack Sugden of Emmerdale Farm fame) as King Arthur, who I've recently learnt died in 2018 aged 73.
