Episode 26: In the final episode of this epic period drama, Fleur and Jon rekindle their old feelings and embark on an affair, despite both being married to other people. Starring Eric Porter, Susan Hampshire, Martin Jarvis, Nicholas Pennell, Nyree Dawn Porter, Margaret Tyzack, June Barry, Suzanne Neve, Jonathan Burn, Anne De Vigier, Maggie Jones, Karin Fernald, Cyril Luckham, Bryan Marshall, George Benson and Julia White. This episode concluded what proved to be a hugely successful series in it's day, leading to 18 million viewers when it was repeated the following year. It was also the first ever series from the UK to be broadcast in the Soviet Union, and won the Best Actor BAFTA for Eric Porter for his portrayal of Soames Forsyte in the TV BAFTAs.
